Music mastering legend Pete Doell visits the people, personalities and celebrities of the music industry.
Prior to each interview Pete will profile the guests through the use of voiceover and a montage of b-roll footage. Utilizing photographs, and in some cases archive footage, the guests will be briefly viewed in their work environment. After this segment, the interview begins.
Pete interviews a broad range of guests, covering various aspects of the music business from writing to recording, promotion, management and producing. From tour management to staging and performance, a diverse collection of the industry’s greatest achievers offer entertaining insight and perspectives on this vast global music community.
Interviews are wide-ranging and consist of topics that explore the guests’ contributions to the industry and their thoughts on performance, technique, equipment, personalities and state of the industry.

Each show will consist of two or three guests. Each will come from a separate discipline within the music industry and have extensive experience in their fields of expertise.
While topics will often be suited to the guests’ areas of knowledge, more universal themes will also be addressed. For example: new records, music products, technologies, etc. Guests will have the opportunity to discuss their latest work, providing an excellent opportunity for the audience to learn about upcoming releases and projects.
The interview will also dig deeper, going into their history-making endeavors, their collaborations and collisions with fellow professionals and artists, and then more broadly touch on the serious issues like digital piracy and distribution platforms.
Pete will end the interviews by discussing what these highly experienced guests think makes a great artist, band and song, providing a relevant segue back to the upcoming King’s Nebula music show.

Al Schmitt is a legendary recording engineer and producer with a career spanning over four decades. He has won over 20 Grammy Awards, making him one of the most decorated recipients in Grammy history. Al's skills are showcased on over 150 gold and platinum albums. Al’s credits are incredibly vast and include the likes of Barbra Streisand, Neil Young, Steely Dan, Miles Davis, Willie Nelson, Frank Sinatra, Bob Dylan, and Paul McCartney… His list at Allmusic contains over 1100 entries, so these names only scratch the surface.
CJ Vanston is a multi Grammy-nominated producer, film composer, session keyboard player and songwriter. As a keyboardist and arranger, CJ has worked on over 200 albums with artists such as Prince, Spinal Tap, Celine Dion, Joe Cocker, Barbra Streisand, Ringo Starr, Dolly Parton, Jann Arden, Chris Botti, Kenny Loggins, Chaka Khan, ‘NSync and many more.
Candace Stewart has managed several of Hollywood’s premier recording studios over her 20 years in music and has led them through the vast sea of change in digital audio technology. Her focus on building the most technically advanced studios in the world is paired with a unique dedication to creating the kind of artist-friendly environment that has enhanced her current base - the legendary EastWest Studios in Hollywood. She has helped to create a second home for many of the biggest names in music.
Tony Shepperd is the founder of the Mix Factory, Breath of Life Records impresario, producer and engineer for artists whose collective sales surpassing seven figures. Tony has seen all sides of the music business and even helped write the book… or at least craft the DVD. His top-selling R&B Master Series offers tips for successful recording techniques from an acknowledged master in his field. Tony has worked with superstars such as Whitney Houston, Madonna, Quincy Jones, Diana Ross, Lionel Richie, Kenny Loggins, Boyz II Men and many more.
